I have given some thought to this subject since I read about the Liberals trying to control primer manufacturing using bogus Haz-Mat Laws to gain control of guns and shooting activities. It seems they have figured out that Primers are the weak-link in the sport. Without primers they control ammo and thus control guns. As this article says, every other component can be made or acquired in one way or another. At this point, I am just in hopes that it won’t come to this being my only way. I have a couple of primers set aside in case. While this article sounds like a doable alternative, I have some concerns and questions that would have to be resolved before I attempt to reload my own primers.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

I wonder how many accidents have happened making primers in the factory......
I also wonder what the odds are of having one trying to do it at home.......
Our whole country has been Trojan Horsed by American Communists (in Democrat Party clothing).....while half of Americans have become too stupid to notice.

UPDATE: OK I tried! I did a lot of research on this and made 100 primers. I made these for small pistol 9mm. The results, well lets just say you might want to do what has already be suggested in other post. Go buy a flintlock!!Only of 100 only 27 actually worked. Oh and this is very labor intensive. Have fun!!

Well Dan good to hear from you. I figured it be labor intensive just like in reloading the 22lr and 22WMR. But hey a 27% success rate. Way better than I would have had if I tried this.
