Ok so I have been neglecting my loading and everyone in the house has their pet loads (stepson is turning into me lol). But I picked up a Ruger M77 Predator in 6.5 CM for my self last week. I am thinking about making it a coyote and part time deer rig. The deer load is the simple I have loaded them before and have a base to start from. Light coyote loads not a clue were to start any advise would be appreciated.......

That is one cartridge I have never even shot. There isn't much else that I haven't shot but the 6.5 has never come my way. So I won't be of any help there.

Chuck: What twist is your barrel? I have been considering a 6.5 in a Ruger #1 with a 26" barrel. I' not sure yet whether I want a varmint or game rifle, I know I want a #1B .

Bob it is an 8 twist barrel. I did find 2 good nodes the other day before the river and a chance to go camping hit me . With AA2520 the node is 40.7-40.9 all loads shot to same POI the other node I found that I like best was with IMR4007 44.9-45.0 smallest groups were with this combo set a book spec 2.775 OAL which in my rifle is a .030 jump. I did not play with seating depth at all yet but will next week. Right now I have to run to work I have a customer flying in this morning from Redman Wa.

Skidded out of work early yesterday was just way to pretty to not go out and shoot. Finalized a good load with 45.0gr of IMR4007SSC and 100gr Nos BT pushed my jump down to .020 and got 4 straight .7 groups @ 100 with 4 straight groups of 1.235 @ 200 so I am all today.......

Chuck: Don't let Dan get to ya, most of what we shoot tastes better than what he shoots!! I'll be when use the heavier bullets your groups will shrink some with that 8"twist. My .257 with that 8" twist shoots 100 gr. like a shotgun but 115-120s are good.
