Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

What purports to be a letter from S&W has shown up, announcing their divestiture of Thompson Center. I haven't confirmed it yet, but I'm already trying to put it in place. T/C was headquartered in Rochester, NH (about 25 miles from Chateau Pooh) and its acquisition a few years back was not greeted happily by the denizens of New Hamster. I'm keeping an eye on this one. (Of all the rifles I own, a Contender Carbine is what I first reach for during deer season, and I've got a bunch of other T/C stuff, all of which was made in Rochester (see above) ) This one hits close to home !

Pooh, my thoughts are with you! Been through it a time or two with Winchester. I'm sure this will work out. I'll have to look at the articles Hacker mentioned.
