This past Sat. 8/7/21 I went to the PA Farmshow Complex for a gun show. My mission to locate primers. Touring the show there was quite an assortment of firearms rifles, shotguns, handguns, and of course the AR platform. There was about three vendors that had AR uppers. Those prices went from not bad to eh eh nope. Prices on the handguns were in the "a little steep to "I don't have a house to put up for collatteral" Now on to rimfire ammo. One guy was selling when compared to the rest was the cheaper one there. All the others I stated to them can reload cheaper than what they were selling. OK OK back to my mission of locating primers especialy large pistol for my 41mag. NOPE!!! none in sight. No component bullets either. There was ammo on hand at various prices. I did find one person selling powder. He had a small sampling of Hogdgon and Winchester in 1lb containers. All of them at $35.00 was not to bad with what I get online with shipping, sales tax. and hazmat. So I got a pound each of W231 and W296. I found a IWB that fits my S&W J-frame that has a 3in. full lug barrel. Also picked up two sets of earmuffs that had a NRR of 21db for $10 each.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Powder prices were not shocking-everything else, wow. With primers, I'm beginning to think that my flintlock wasn't a bad idea after all !

Gary, that's an interesting statement about our hobby cost and "profit" wise. Pooh, I hear the cost of flint is sparking profit taking also!

Similar at latest shows in Northern Arizona. Seems the big issues are primer availability, likewise most calibers of brass. IF you can find any of either the prices are out of sight!
Note to Bob . . . you might want to get new writers.
