This saddens me that I find that Weaver Scopes are no longer made. As I was searching the internet on scopes I came across an article from June 2020. Now I knew a year agao that in weaver's V series their V 1-3 was discontinued as I want that on my squirrel gun. Had one one my Marlin 444. That was a good woods scope. In that series I have their 2-10x38 on my 700BDL. riflescope-review.com/weaver-scopes-is-officially-out-of-business/

Sorry to see them go under- Weaver was the only scope that our local hardware store carried back in the day. I have a couple dating from the '70s kicking around. Thankfully, it appears that their rings and mounts will continue to be made.

I too was sorry to see them go . . . in my early days of guns and shooting they were a good value for the money and there is still one on an old Remington 788 in the safe.

I am also sorry to see them go. I have only one Weaver scope a B4 on a model 67 Winchester .22. That little scope, which I with my father's guidance mounted in the early '50s, is still clear and helps that rifle be deadly on Jack rabbits and ground squirrels.

All I have is Weaver scopes.......May never need another one....well except for a Red Dot on my old old Ruger 1022.
ATK made a side company to put their sporting brands in.....Vista Outdoors. RCBS and Bushnell is there too....with a dozen other brands. These huge unfeeling conglomerates aren't exactly my idea of progress. They are still alive at least......kind of.

Page 7 of the latest (September) Natchez Shooters Supply, Product Catalog is a full page ad for Weaver Scopes. It covers a number of their scopes and covers the "Lifetime Warranty". There is no mention of any ownership changes, etc. In as much as the company is still going to be in business I believe they will have to do something to honor existing warranties. I'll bet they handle the warranties through one of the other optic names owned by the same corporate group.

I think Hacker's article talked about that, and if memory serves me right, they kicked the can over to Bushnell, who will offer a discount on a new Bushnell rather than repairing the Weaver. I also understand (different article ?) that there are guys who do repairs, obviously not under warranty. Orphans happpen.

As for a Weaver the article mentioned a place but can not accomodate all Weavers. Here from the article.
"If Weaver or that brand that owns Weaver is not servicing their scope anymore, where do I go for a Weaver scope repair?
My suggestion would be a scope repair facility in Tulsa, OK, called Iron Sight Inc. They specialize in repairing several scope brands, including Weaver. I once sent them a Weaver Grand Slam for a reticle change, and the process went well.
Here’s their contact info:
Iron Sight Inc.
4814 S Elwood Ave.
Tulsa OK 74107
(918)445-2001
(918)521-7736
A word of warning, though, as I learned the hard way: Iron Sight can’t repair every model of Weaver scope, so I’d suggest calling them to discuss the details of a repair before you send a scope in for service. I assumed they could fix any Weaver and sent a V-22 Classic in 6-24X44 in for repair. But, it turns out they can’t repair the V-22 series. Again, if you plan to use them, it’s worth taking the time to call ahead."

I’ll defer all the legal issues to those that make a living figuring it all out. Way back when I retired from one of the largest appliance manufactures I remember they had to honor existing warranties when they bought other brand names or discontinued product lines IF they were still offering a product that carried the original name. In as much as Weaver Rings and Mounts will still be on the market I assumed the Brand Name was still in existence. Who knows . . . I’m backing out of this thread while I still have some since of sobriety. Sorry I wandered in

I can relate to that SnapShot......I feel the same way about my lifetime favorite reloading brand RCBS. Same worthless conglomerate. I think they have about 6 major products in stock, and even their dies are iffy......if they are popular, you won't probably find them. The world as I liked and enjoyed it is gone......mostly thanks to covid and liberals.....probably related....partners in crime. Lee seems to be alive and well at least.....and maybe Dillon.

I'm with you G W. and all. I tried to order a custom sizing die and an extended shell holder from RCBS, they stopped custom die production some while ago and the extendeded shell holder won't fit my competition sating die. This was/is very disheartening as I have been a faithful 60 year customer. All my loading equipment is green except for a few L'nL items. Now I will loo to Redding or the custom die maker in Oregon, gonna have to research that though.
