The replacement for the case/bullet feeder downtube holder, that bolts to the APP the same way as Lee's....but you see the ring at the top? That ring holds many calibers of down tubes! Just lift one out and replace with another.
The caliber specific down tube inserts are made to hang over one of Lee's 3 shuttle slides....so depending on the height of the bullet or case you use the slide that is closest to that height, but not taller than the bullet/case.
The picture below shows the one printed for 357.
It will hang 1/16 above the slide, see the picture below: (in this 357case example, it uses the intermediate slide)
Now for rifle cases the insert has a more interesting cutout, tight enough to keep the next case in line from falling out and screwing everything up. Next picture is a picture of the insert for the 270 rifle case:
Next picture shows that 270 insert dropped in the main downtube holder's hole....first .270 case is ready to drop.
Below a video showing the APP using this system to deprime 357 cases before wet tumbling. (The mangled pusher was an experiment that worked, but not longer needed with TylerR's quickchange system....I have a new one coming....
See the black ring around the downtube? That's the upper ring in the first picture of the main downtube holder.
Below is a video demonstrating the same process for depriming .270 rifle cases before wet tumbling...but I don't have the deprimer installed.
I've always said that Lee's genius was deciding that case/bullet feeding was a good thing for single station presses.......bet we see more of this in the future from the other brands. So much faster! Shoot, if RCBS had such a thing for it's heavy duty Summit Press, wow! Depriming isn't the only reloading step that this can do.....boolit sizing, swaging pockets, even sizing, and this is just the beginning. Lee already has a primer, and expect a powder measure will be added somehow someday.
Here's a picture of the caliber change inserts read to be printed, already:
All free and downloadable on TylerR's Signature below every post he does on the thread, where it says "downloads"....as here:
