Good eye, Hacker ! It's nice to see the Cavalry on the way...maybe... It may take up some of the slack from the Russian stuff not coming in. (I picked up a brick of the Wolf primers when a lgs had them an attractive price. Worked fine in 9mm and 357. Wish I'd bought a pallet more !) It'll be interesting to see how this pans out. The post brought a warm spot to a cold, snowy night in New Hamster ! Thanks !

I saw this article and was glad to hear help was on the way. That is a substantial investment they are making. The local Sportsman's Warehouse had a small shipment of primers a couple of weeks ago and I was pleased to see their price was reasonable. Unfortunately they sold out within a day. The local stores (big box and locals) have started getting powder, bullets and brass as well as ammo so I am hopeful the tide has turned. I'm still looking for 123gr bullets in .310 diameter for 7.62 X 39mm reloading but good brass is on the shelves so ? ? ?

I hope the company can make a lot of components, any loader out there is still waiting for supplies, we will just wait and continue on-happy reloading

Anecdotally, primers are appearing. A friend reported on Monday that he was at a lgs who had a pile of them. Bad news, $9/box, about what a brick should be. It will take a while for things to settle down. At least they are out in the wild.

Thanks JB for this article John. I knew there have been lead free primers for awhile now but this has very good promise as Federal will be switching all their ammo to it. Per the article this new primer is cheaper to produce. I hope this leads to lower prices as I will hope they become a component as well as I'm guessing they will discontinue the lead type.

I think we'll all be looking to see how shelf life, and other factors look. It sounds like they're less touchy to make, so hopefully production will be faster and (ahem) cheaper.
