I went to a Gun Auction last night and I was left very confused. I was wanting to get some CCI Small Rifle primers, which I did, but I still don't know how it happened. The 1st primers they auctioned off were CCI small pistol primers and they ended up going for $60 for a brick of 1000. I thought alright I have a chance. When they got to the CCI small rifle primers I got the brick of 1000 for $70, I know that is almost double what they should be. But what has me so confused is the Federal Primers, Mag small pistol #200, Mag large rifle #215 & large rifle #210 went for $150 a brick. Later there was a brick of Federal small pistol #100 that went for I believe $175. Sure the Federal packaging is larger but it's still 1000 per brick, What am I missing that makes the Federals go for so much more than the CCI primers at auction?

John, it was probably a case of Auction fever I've seen it many times.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Contrary to what the pundits say, people just don't always act rationally at auctions !

LOL I can understand slightly higher prices if they were something like the GM205M match primers. But I also think it was auction fever. BTW Hello everyone!
