This would be great for a service rifle competitor to get in some offhand practice down in the basement on off days. I had an air rifle with sights similar to the NM sights I was using back in the day. Used a paster to similate the aiming black. Helped, but not enough to make me go Distinguished !
Love to know how it works out for you !

That looks like a lot of fun. Did you go with .177 or .22? Either should reduce the Spring Gopher population.

Larry I went with .177 caliber. Now here in my state of PA air guns were deemed legal last year or maybe the year before that I would have to check. The .177 caliber is legal for what they classify as small game like squirrel and rabbit. Now for groundhog and fox and such it must be a 22 caliber air gun. Oh and for now it is rifle. They have yet to my knowledge to approve hand air guns.

OK guys my toy came in today. I like the way it looks like a M14. I have one complaint that when I shouldered it to get a sight picture there's a burr inside the aperture. So I hope to call them tomorrow. One to see if they'll send another one ans also ask if the metal sights will fit and I found one reasonable at around $74 to $76 as compared to those at $270. Oh sorry I forgot to mentioned the sights are polymer and that includes the front. Not sure if a metal one will match up or not. I will be asking.

Well gentlemen I did not make the call. As I was in my "Man Cave/Reloading" having coffee something told me to take a look through the prrp sight I have for the single shot 30/30 and low and behold that same spot appeared. Yes I need new glasses and need to get to the eye doc. I have a feeling that I'll need more than new glasses. So now I'm looking at scope base for it and will put a 1x-4x or one of two red dots I have on hand.

Good grief. This forum is looking more like a medical soap opera every day ! Get it looked at, Gary-blind riflemen have issues ! (BTW, I went in to my PCP today for the annual poke 'n prod, and actually got to go home !)
