A fiendish "friend "gave me 4# of poison last week. The only known antidote is a Ruger No1B 6.5 Creedmoor as the poison was a bag 6.5 CM once fired Hornady brass. My friend knew I had a latent interest in that No.1 6.5 combination and he just had to bring it out. I am now awaiting the possession of that rifle it is coming from Minnesota. Now to get dies since I already have the components, I will update when it's in hand.

I see that the poison effected you by direct contact. The 6.5CM poison is quite common as the son-in-law got infected as well. It looks like I'll have to do load work again as I'm having trouble finding the notes on it. No problem as I have fun doing the loads and shoot his rifle. Have fun with your development and let us know of your results.

Whew. Mainlining it Bob ? I think we've got to talk to the deacons about reopening the church basement... Of course, we'd just egg each other on ! Meanwhile, have fun !

A quick update on the 6.5 CM. If you happen to see one floating around seemingly lost it is probably mine. I went to the gun shop that was the transfer FFL to see the rifle and start the stupid 10 day "cooling off" period and guess what, they did not have the rifle though UPS claim they delivered it Tuesday 4/5/22. The shop though not my regular LGS is very reputable and the individual who signed for it is not an employee. The shop is in a building with several other business's and has signs at the entrance, so now starts the search. I have the dies and the brass and was looking forward to prep this afternoon but the wind left my sails.

Bob, that is really frustrating! UPS and Fed Ex have gotten really sloppy about security and final delivery. My office is in an old mill with a bunch of small businesses, and we have had stuff dumped in the front lobby, and all over the place. I help out the owner with stuff and have a pass key. As I'm walking down the hall, most of the tenants are happy to have me tuck their packages inside. You'd think they'd be a little more careful with a firearm.
Back in the day, DCM sent Garands Registered Mail. The local postal guys were super happy to have me sign for the thing and get it off their hands. I think someone would have had to spend the night there if I hadn't claimed it !

Sorry to hear this . . . UPS and FedEx have really gone down hill with security in this part of the country too. You'd think that when a signature is called for they would want to make sure the right person is signing for it. Good luck with this one, let us know how it works out.

Good to hear that it's been found. Wonder if it has any interesting stories about where it's been.

The rifle is home! UPS claimed to have delivered it, which they did, to the wrong address. Thank to GPS tracking they were able to retrieve the rifle. Now to mount my Leupold 6X20 scope and then go shoot it!

Tried to mount my 6.5X20 scope yesterday it would not fit in the mounts I had for it so I tried a bigger hammer to no avail. A case of stupid had set in, 30mm scope just will not fit in 1" rings no matter how hard you hit it!! Ordered the 30mm high rings from Midway this morning and have mounted, temporarily, a 4X12 Leupold to try some loads next week.

It's rare when a bigger hammer doesn't fix something . . . but then, that's why they came up with duct tape.

Darn it. I for got about duck tape or bailing wire! I know "duct" tape used a lot of it when I was a sheet metal worker but also used it to pluck ducks so duck tape.

In case you three didn't know it, duct tape and baling wire has been replaced by Chinese 3d printers. The new redneck country engineering. Purty soon we'll have their eyes. Enjoy your new rifle! Jealous?......of course.
