Gun Broker has Winchester Model 70s Serial numbers 1 & 2 listed @ $1,750,000 (and those are comas not decimal points) so I ordered both........... Then I woke up! Anybody going to bid on them?

Gary, Did you bid? My oldest M70 is an '06 Serial 3xxx 1936 or '37 so I missed the jack pot by a few thousand!

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Hah- bargain price like that, it might make a good barn gun... It would be fun to look it over, just to hold a piece of history, but I'd be afraid I'd drop it or something !

This is such a great group . . . rubbing elbows with all you high rollers makes us peons feel like we may have a chance to “make it some day” too. I knew you were all smarter than me but knowing you are all so wealthy too . . . well . . . it just gives us hope for our future. Ain’t America Great ? ! !
FOOT NOTE: I remember when I had my "Per '64" Model 70 in .264 Winchester Magnum and thought I had arrived . . .

Pooh, they are "plain jane" guns except their serial numbers lack a whole bunch of digits and they are just a few years older than me. Larry you had arrived when you got that .264 Winchester, I'm still struggling to get there. .

Bob ~ My 264 Winchester Magnum is only one of many guns "I wish I had no let go". There are at least a dozen that make that list right next to my 1957 Chevy Belair Convertible and my 1969 Ford Bronco. It's too bad we get smart so late in life.

Yep, 1967 Malibu HO 327 4speed and some guns:'( . Back in 1995 I saw a '57 Belair Convertible with a "Power Pack" (stock 2 Barrels) with 75 original miles original "rag" white wall tires all original, in showroom condition it was beautiful, $ 75,000 then. It was owned by a southern California dealer who had stored it in a warehouse obviously properly.
