April 30th started sprin turkey here in PA. The first two weeks you hunt till noon the later two weeks one can hunt all day. I will not be able to hunt/shoot same as for any range time. I saw my eye doc on the May 5th and he confirmed what he would say. I need eye surgery. I have cataracts and they are bad enough that I need the surgery. I can still go to the turkey woods and do the calling for the son-in-law and the grandkids. The 25 I see another docs which will check my eyes again to confirm and to see what the surgery will entail.

Hang in there Hacker . . . my mother-in-law went through that and came out okay. Hope you can do as well as she did. Time in the woods with kids and grandkids is great experience, and a chance to pass along your knowledge. Enjoy those moments.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Hacker, I've had friends go through it, and they've done well. Hope yours works out well. Now, have you considered having them do a little extra tweaking to improve your sight picture ?
