Well I hate to admit errors but maybe this will help someone. I was loading some 6.5-270 Improved, when I finished I poured the remaining powder from my Uniflow in to the jar when I saw, to my horror, the label said H4350, it should have been H1000. By following my no.1 rule, only the components I'm using are on the bench especially powder and bullets, I caught my error. I immediately pulled the bullets and put the powder back where it belonged.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Bob, the system worked. Phew. We have systems because none of us is perfect. BTW, did you look up the load to see if it would have worked ?

Pooh, I ran it through Quick Loads and the load would have produced just over 90,000 PSI.

Bob ~ WOW . . . 90,000; my Blood Pressure Meds wouldn't even help with those pressures. I work under the same system you do and I always teach it in my reloading classes. My "last step" is to compare my new label with each material container as I put them away and then apply the label to the reload box. I have only caught one mistake in all my years and that was incorrect bullet weight . . . OUR SYSTEMS WORK! That's why they make bullet pullers Glad you caught it!

I have to admit to 2. This was the only component mistake I've made. The other also the first, was starting to handload in the first place and not knowing how involved I would become!

That certainly doesn't look like a hot-weather load ! I've had my share of "almosts, mostly in assembling the tray of components I'm going to use. One tray on the bench at a time. Think of it as digital:0 or 1
