      Well guys that single shot bolt 22lr handgun got out two times. Squirrels season started mid Sept. Saw one that was in the leafy stuff up a tree and saw just a small part of the body. Shot and it was a clean miss. I know your thinking that squirrel didn't heed my warning. Well today my good friend and hunting buddy went out this afternoon. I took my single bolt 22lr he took his 22lr revolver. Well after about 45min. one showed up and I waited for it to get into range. Saw it go up a tree straight away from me and lost it and didn't see it come down so I scanned it with the binoculars and found it. Steady it on my shooting stick and shot and down it came. Had to finish it off with another round when I walked up to it. I told my buddy that it was a first for two reasons. I said first with this gun and a first with my new eyes. Any further up the tree and I will not shoot as for the bullet traveling after it would pass through the squirrel.
