Well at first glance I'm not happy. I don't like foreign ownership of our companies especially the sensitive producers of ammo, fuel, raw materials, tech nor finance. The only brand of those mentioned that I regularly buy is CCI and not very often at that.

Bob, Billie Holliday got it right when she sang "God Bless the Child that's got his own"... Colt is now owned by Czechs as well. We'll see, but I have to question if we're any worse off than if it had been picked up by some domestic equity firm that would squeeze the cash out of it and toss it aside. This crew is old enough to remember when the Leisure Group swallowed up a bunch of sporting goods firms, and ruined some, like Ben Pearson Archery. (How Lyman survived as it did, I haven't the foggiest idea !) Wait and see ! Thanks for posting this oen, Hacker !

Pooh, I hear what your saying, Winchester has been owned by FN for quite a while now as well and it just didn't bother me but for some reason the ammo issue got under my skin. As you suggested I'll wait and see, not much choice anyway.

I’m not a fan of huge conglomerates in any industry and the loss of competition. It gives too much control and makes it too easy to squelch the remaining companies. I don’t like foreign ownership in most cases. As far as this specific issue . . . . I guess this is better than the liberals gaining control of our ammo manufacturing and their back-door gun control.

Larry, you raise a good point. Think about the concentration in powder manufacturing these days. The Hodgdon family seems squared away, but who knows what the next generations will bring ?

I share your concern. Hand loader for 50 years. Have never seen supply issues last this long.

Mule, I believe this supply issue is being influenced by domestic entities, not so much by foreign companies.
