I'm just surprised that the chewin didn't fire the gun and kill or maim. All it would take is one tooth inside the trigger guide. Maybe it was empty or uncocked. Then there's the main thing....The owner left his gun out. If he had had little kids, it would have turned out worse. Happy New Year to my friends here at 2AMunitions! Been busy lately....better than a year ago's Christmas season's Flu.Q
So has Santa Claus converted any of you to progressive loading this year? The Lee Pro 6000 is cheap and well done.....in case you have any money left over from Christmas....
Why? Well I wouldn't be loading any more due to "oldness" if not for my progressives. 1/5 the lever pulls.
Or how about 3D printers? Were you nice enough for Santa to bring you one of those?
I just finis hed a .243 bullet feed die last night......cost me $5, compared to the $120 RCBS one I got 2 years ago for .308.

Happy New Year GW, good to see you're still getting older . How many rabbits are in that hat? That looks like a neat tool for you progressives, loaders that is, I'm afraid I'm still one at a time, I don't load enough of one cartridge at any time for progressive to be useful. Typically I load 20 - 50 at a session sometimes 20 each of 2 substantially different cartridges never similar though to avoid confusion.

Yes, Hacker, I think TylerR influenced them.....they are copies of our 3D-printed ones with the non-commercial universal patent. Lee got around the patent by changing the springs, to an internal spring. Nobody is offended...theirs is steel....think of our 3D printed version as prototypes that will last as long as theirs...until you drop it. We be careful! I can say the the 3d printed versions cost me maybe $3 of plastic, and $15 worth of springs and ball bearings. Would be cheaper if we didn't have to buy a spring assortment on the web to get the right size....and of course a 4 hr. wait for the two piece contraption to print. You might be interested in a quick video of the .223 version printing:
and here's what they look like with the external springs:

Birthday last month made me, ugh, 74. 5 kids, and 16 grandkids and 6 greats.
And Bob, that's about what I load in a session. But I wouldn't be doing that anymore if I still did them one station at a time and no feeders.
That's why I went progressive. Soooooo much easier on an old body worn out by building construction, and soooo much more fun.

GWS, as I said I'm glad to see your still trying to catch up to me age wise! Building construction is hard on the body but I just can't give up, that's why the Good Lord gave us index fingers to point with. I also ,as part of a team, write our state contractors license exam for law and 7 classifications, so I want to stay involved. As far as loading goes I just enjoy the 1 at time approach, dunn it too long to switch but do very much enjoy seeing your contributions keep it up for your effort.

Being often on the carpentry side of the business, when not on the drawing board, I'm just happy to report that I still have my 2 index fingers. Too many of us had to learn the hard way to respect skill and table saws. I did get nicked once, while still a young apprentice, but nothing serious.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Greg, good to hear from you, and nice to have one of your projects to oooh and ah over !! I love going over them and figuring out what you did, even though I'm mired in single stage mode like Bob. Hope you and yours are well and happy !
