I'm thinking of canceling my membership to the Rocky Mountain Ely Foundation. They are having a banquet tonight and California Rifle and Pistol Association was denied a recruitment table for political reasons, this is a big surprise to me as all of the other hunting related organizations I belong to are vocal in support and partner with 2 A. groups.  |

Not sure it excuses the conduct on their part, but I wonder if there were some unusual circumstances that led to that call on their part, or if someone made a rogue decision not endorsed by the group.Before burning bridges, it might be good to make a friendly inquiry. Hate to see unnecessary divisions. On the other hand, at least you'd have something solid to share with others wondering about them. I have a friend who is a member of RMEF. If I can remember that long, I'll ask his reaction.

Good point Pooh, i won't cross that bridge with out proper ammunition for or against. The very act though is somewhat disconcerting.

Bob, my guy doesn't have any connection to the California chapter, but he's been a member for some time and was unaware of any anti-2A sentiment. He's looking further and if he reports anything you'll hear it here first !

Pooh, it might just be a personality issue, our rep can be a little full of himself sometimes. As I said I'll not go anywhere with this 'till I put the primer,powder,bullet and case together ready to shoot.

My daughter came from Missouri, my son and grand son, my wife and I had a nice dinner of grilled "porter house" pork chops, corn on the cobb, my son, G'son and I share 10/5. G'son is 4 minutes early though @ 10/4.
Pooh I hope you find to right house .
