I hate to tell you how many guns I have purchased over the years simply because they have bears or bear names on them.

...and at an MSRP of $ 1600 ! Ok, I know that I need to drag myself into the 21st Century, but... Slick looking rigs. I wonder how the triggers are. Larry, what's with the bears ?
Thanks, Hacker !

I've had this thing for bears since I was a little kid . . . we had a cabin in the Los Padres National Forest not far from a dump site. I spent most evenings and early mornings watching the local bears scroung there. There are bear statues all around my house and I visit "Bearizona" a couple of time a year. When I build-out an AR I ingrave a bear paw on the lower. A lot of my wildlife photography is of bears. No real reason . . . However I have let both of my LGS know I want one each of the new Colt's. I'll let you know when I am able to get them.

You know, thinking about it, if Colt made a "Pooh" model, I'd have to get it...

Two bears arrived yesterday and I opened the boxes to welcome them to their new homes. These are so much like their snake cousins that Colt packed the snake owners manuals in the boxes. Python manual in Grizzly packing and Anaconda manual in the Kodiak. They are beautiful, tight, crisp revolvers with very nice triggers. As I get to know them I’ll have more to say but at first meeting . . . Colt has done a great job.

Congrats Larry on picking up the bears. I'm sure you will let us know how they perform.

I haven't seen a lot in the press about these. As always, if it has a trigger, we're interested ! Keep us posted, and have fun.

Congratulations Larry, enjoy your new "pets" treat them to hefty meals so they can properly spit with authority. Pooh Colt is missing the boat, what about "Pooh bear" or Whinny the Pooh to bring you into the fold. I only have one Colt revolver, an 1877 double action in .41 Colt it is fun to shoot once in a great while.

I’m still dealing with some eye surgery issues so I haven’t made it out to the range with my new Colt Bears yet. I should be able to get out by the end of the month. Meanwhile I have hooked up with Hudson River Valley Customs in New York (hrvcustoms.com) and ordered some very nice grips. If these shoot as good as they look I’ll be very pleased.

Larry I do like those grips. I hope you can get to the range and give us a report. Take your time as I had cataract surgery done two years ago.

Don't do anything prematurely. Hacker's the voice of experience in that department ! Looking forward to seeing if they're as much fun as they look !
