Yesterday I got to introduce my grandson to firearms. I took him and my son shooting, spent the day with them shooting .22s, 9mms,.38/ .357s and.45 ACP and .257 Rob'ts. After a reasonable but neccessary safety discussion he took to shooting like a fish to water. This is, by the way, the first time in 13 years I can say with pleasure I have a grandson, his mother and grandmother kept him from us so I never was able to enjoy a grandchild as you all seem to have. As todler he fell into our swiming pool twice in one day as she sat at the pool's edge, he was retrieved by my wife one time and my son the second time both times before he got water in his mouth. Anyway yesterday was a "blast" with plans to repeat in the near future.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Very cool, Bob ! I know you'll follow up promptly, and he'll learn it all right the first time ! Can you convince him that weighing powder charges is fun ?

Bob awesome to hear this story. There is nothing like spending time with the grandkids and to teach them the right way of using firearms. Have you mentioned yet of any up coming hunts with your grandson?
