Well Pooh you did state about getting into seasons here in PA. Saturday Sept. 14th was the opener and no I wasn't out on that day as I was still fighting a bad stuffed up head cold. You couldn't stuff a turkey that much as what I had along with headache. I and my oldest grandson did get out yesterday Sept. 20th. I took my squirrel gun and he took his M93 Savage in 22WMR. We saw several with some we could not safely shoot as there was a road just down that way. We saw on a ways off and was safe to shoot. I had the grandson shoot and gave him my shooting stick and he connected with one shot. I was proud of the shot as I got the range finder out and from where I sat it was 54 yards and he was another six feet to my right so that would make it 56 yards. We were out to about 3:30 and we packed up and headed home. Al in all I had a very enjoyable day with my grandson.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Wow ! You must have been sick, since it was hunting you missed! Great to be making memories and passing skills along ! Our squirrel season opens 10/1 and I hope to get my grandfather's old Fox double out, if only for the memories.
