Sunday was the last day for California's "A" zone deer season and I am happy to say I have a little over 100# of meat hanging at the butcher shop. The meat will be ready to process into steaks, chops and Italian sausage in 10 days, looking forward to some fine charcoal grilling this fall and winter.

Awesome. Nothing like grilling up some venison and I'm doing some loins up this Friday. Deer hunting starts with archery the beginning of Oct and about the middle of the month is the early muzzle loader season which is doe only and you can use any type of muzzle loader. Now the last three days of that season youth, senior, and active duty service people can use a center fire firearm.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.
