Target stores across the country and their headquarters have BANNED the carry of firearms in their store. They claim it is to "promote a safe and satisfactory environment for their shoppers and employees" really? I think it is just pandering to the Brady group and Bloomberg's of the world...... Add another store to my do not shop their list.....

How do you spell stupid......T..A..R..G..E..T.
Now I feel really safe going to Target stores knowing full well that only criminals will be packing there.....with no one to stop them from causing a tragedy.
Will be shopping elsewhere where it's safer.

The problem is pressure from their new generation shoppers. I am a 31 year old guy who was raised up with loaded firearms in every room of the house. I can actually say I have never had any desire to solve disputes with a gun because of the way my father raised me. Nowdays though many people about my age are just plain ignorant about firearms in general. Take for example a dinner my wife and I had with one of her childhood friends and her spouse. At dinner I dropped my napkin and reached for it, as I did my shirt became untucked and part of my concealed carry pistol was showing. (Yes I know a dumb move on my part). This woman yelled and got up standing a few feet away from the table and refused to sit down. She honestly thought the gun could "go off" and hurt her while eating dinner with us. I tried to explain how a weapon actually works but to no avail, she and her husband left dinner early (I was happy I didn't have to eat with the yuppies anymore but my wife was pissed). They even had a trip planned to spend time in our home this summer but cancelled after I preceded to tell her we might have several guns in our house. This irrational fear and ignorance is what has to be conqured with the younger generations. She was raised in a family of NO firearms, and is now passing that on to her children. She even accused me of child endangerment as she heard and saw a picture of my 5 year cleaning his pellet gun (.22lr is still impossible to find around here). Target is now also off my shopping list.....

Never one to patron Target after there li’l farce just outside of Columbus OH a few years ago: they had denied a group to stand outside and sell “Poppies” for the Vets Home but the same week they let a Rainbow group, pass out condoms and pamphlets on how it was “OK for the alternative lifestyle of liking the same sex”. I think we need to invite Target to go back to France where their owner is.

In my minds eye,7th's issue is to me a substaintially larger reason to avoid that chain. Some years ago I went in to a Bass Pro store in Columbia,Missouri and there at the front was a sign requesting customers to check their guns at the counter! Do they still have this policy and why is there no out cry? I feel these Texans with their in your face attitude are doing more harm to our position than they realize or care or they're part of the anti gun movement! Why the need to carry an AR/MSR platform rifle into a store is a little beyond me, a hand gun OK I find that acceptable even prudent.

I never heard that one 7th but you can bet that if I had I would have stayed away long ago. I don't agree with some of the life styles and life choices many people are making because this is supposed to be a free country. But when they allow carpet munchers and bone smokers privileges and not extend the same to Vets, then the policy makers at Target should be beaten severely about the head and neck. Go back to France Libtard! Just Sayin!

Not having a target near me, I never had the opportunity to really miss them when I said I would never darken their doorstep. I was really surprised at how little coverage this got: one night on the 11 o’clock news till the local VFW made a big stink about it and then it got a blurb on the 6 o’clock news but the VFW spread it across the state like wildfire. I do agree with ya on the fact that this is a great free nation and we are all free to do what we wish; as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. I believe France is a great place for all the crybabies out there that don’t like this great Nation as it is…

If a CONSERVATIVE doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a LIBERAL doesn't like guns, he wants ALL guns outlawed.
LIBERALISM is the "new religion" and unfortunately, that is what is being taught in our schools and universities. God help us!
Screw Target (never really shopped there anyway...it's just an upscale Walmart) and now Ikea (their products suck anyway).
