In the not-to-distant future ... I shall create a thread on how to create your own paper targets. Also, there are a ton of resources out there on creating your own paper targets. For the official targets, Brownells, MidwayUSA, and Optics Planet are my goto places!

Are you talking about the Shoot & See Targets? I was working on one but I'll wait on yours.

Are you talking about the Shoot & See Targets? I was working on one but I'll wait on yours. No ... I was talking about just plain paper. Originally, I thought ... Hey ... all I gotta do is go download some PDF or JPEG, print them up ... and voila! cheap targets! Hoo boy ... was I wrong! There are a few things I found out about this "DIY simple paper target" journey. You should create a post on DIY shoot-and-see targets. I remember you doing this over at the HUB. I forgot how you did it though.

I was going to write up a tutorial about making SHoot and See targets. As usual I did a search on you tube to see if anyone else had done it for me and found this video. While there are several posted there of the many different methods of making them. This one matches the way I make them.

I get the neon paper, tape and spray paint.
How do you get the pattern on the tape?

Yes, I use the red dots from shoot & see target when I find them in the trash cans at the range as my centers. The draw the rings from the center of those. Make as many or as few rings as you want. I like using the fluorescent orange and lime green poster boards from Walmart or and Office supply as the backer. If you are the artistic type you can freehand bad guys and make you own shoot & see silhouettes. I have seen people use pin striping on these after the paint to mark bullseye or triangles or whatever your design. You can put as much work as you want to or as little. The main advantage for me is that I'm not stuck with the target designs that they produce. I can make them to suit me. The only shoot and see targets I buy are these: Battleship
