Hey there all reloaders its the merdoc357 , If you have any old manuals, please check to see if there is a powder load for the 7.62x54 using IMR 4227. I Cannot find a powder load for it on the web yet. It is possible that there may not be one, but not sure yet. If yall can check this out, it would be greatly appreciated....
Also: And if possible, for you older reloaders, try to find rifle or pistol loads for (this is old powder, Winchester 473AA (I don't think Winchester makes 473AA powder anymore) Take care and i'll be checking back on the board periodically)
until then, take care and happy reloading from merdoc357

Merdoc357, I looked in all my older data even in an older IMR booklet that still had DuPont as the maker of the powders. As for the Win. 473AA in pistol loads. I'll have to do some digging on that one. Oh and you are correct the 473AA was discontinued several years ago.

Merdoc357, As I stated before that I have to do some digging on the 473AA. Well in my dig I uncovered a source from the forum The Firing Line. The info that is stated came from Speer's # 11 which I no longer have Gave to a friend so he had a manual to go by when he started reloading. I'll give the link you'l have to scroll down to where it is. So if by chance you can find a copy of Speer's #11 then you will have that to reference from. So here's the link: The Firing Line

thanks for the load data Hacker, now check this out if you haven't found this already: here is a site I ran across in my research: It is www.reloadersnest.com/index.aspI think you might like what you see, I have found it to be extremely informative in finding hard to find loads.
