Well a US District Court of Northern Illinois has ruled that the City of Chicago has to reimburse the NRA the legal fee incurred in their last suit against Chicago. I thought this is sweet and of course the mayor and the Libs will not like this one bit. So read and take your own conclusion from this. Chicago Ordered To Pay NRA's Legal Fees

So; has the city of Chicago reimbursed the NRA yet? McDonald was awhile back, and the legal fees on this one was $600k.
I would not applaud until the NRA gets reimbursed ... Then I shall applaud.
As to losing money ... Since when does losing Taxpayer's monies mean anything to a Liberal???

Ken, Maybe not yet but I would do a plea deal with the mayor and the rest of the city fathers. Pay up or this is how long you'll sit in prison. Now if that's not a fair deal I don't know what is!!

Fortunately for the NRA judgements against cities, counties, states and entities such as that don't have the same luxury as companies and individuals about how long they can go before being paid. My sister is a city attorney in Oklahoma. I asked her about Chicago's ability to stall or refusal to pay a judgement in cases such as this. If I understood it correctly. If the city does not pay then they NRA can claim federal money even grants that maybe or would be for the city of Chicago until they are paid in full.If a diversion of Federal money is filed it could have detrimental consequences on future Federal grants to the city. She did say that they could spread the payments out but that cost the city even more due to interest incurred. I hope she is right!
