wondering what everyones like for a hunting bullet. My self I like Sierra Game kingsin 22 and 30 caliber and some of the Hornady Interlock .284 and 6mm caliber but my favorite hunting bullet is the Nosler ballistic tip I use them in 7 mm Mag in 140 and 30-06 in 165's and 140 gr accu bonds in the STW

Hello savage11027058, I also like Nosler's Ballistic Tip in my 7mm-08 using the 140's. This bullet has performed for me each and every time to bag several deer. Now in my single shot 30/30 I use Speer Hot-Cor bullets the 150's and 165's round nose. The 165's are no long made in the round nose but got 800 on hand to last for a while.

I love to use the Nosler Ballistic tips (.308), The Speer Grand Slam and the Hornady Interbond and STT. My most favorite of them all was the Winchester Fail Safe. This spring I tried the Barnes TTSX but that was not to my satisfaction.

Another vote for the Nosler Ballistic Tip. I load the 140's in my 7-08 and have had excellent performance every time on many deer for many years now. Very accurate and good terminal performance. It's been a winner for me.

I typically use 100 gr. Nosler Partition(the machined style) in the .243, 120 gr. Nosler Partition in .257 Rbts, 130 gr. Sirra GKs in the .270 Win., 140 gr. Sierra Pro hunter in my 7X57mm, 165 gr. Sierra GKs in the '06 ,and 165 or 180 gr.Nosler B.T.s in the .300 Win. All have proved accurate and deadly I do want to try the TTSX though. If I get an Elk tag I will use either the 180 gr. Nosler PPT,which is designed for the .300 Win. or I will use 180 gr. TTSX from Barnes. Between several friends there have been a dozen 1 shot kills on mostly bulls .

I get great groups with the nosler Ballistic tips out of my bone stock Remington 700 in 7 mm Mag I seat my bullets out past what the book recomends 5 shots under a dime at a 100 yards and my 30-06 shoots the same with the 165's

I shoot Speer 165 gr for the .30 & I shoot Sierra 140 gr for the .264. I do have a few boxes of Hornady for each caliber in the appropriate sizes.

Up till this year in 284 I was a Nos Bt fan 150's for the 7RM and 140's for the 7-08. I will no longer use them have seen 3 fail in the last four years to include the 140 AB (at 7-08 velocity). I use 165 Sie GK's in all my 30 cal rifles for deer hunting. I have just started working with 120 Spr BTSP's in my 25-06. For my 284 bores I am looking at 140-150 Sie Gk's and Spr 160 BTSP's. If I didn't shoot as much as I can I would run some Nos Partitions in 140-150 for the 284 bore rifles I have but the cost is just to much to do that.
