Quick question for the rifle reloaders.....
I bought a used RCBS JR press on the cheap...disassembled it, cleaned it up, sprayed on a couple coats of primer and "RCBS green", gave it a good lubing, and it's good as new. I've been using it primarily to decap brass with the Lee Universal Depriming and Decapping Die.....has worked GREAT so far for that purpose.
I want to also use this press to resize my 5.56/.223 brass with the RCBS AR Series Small Base Resizing Die.
Here's the question....is this press "beefy" enough to handle the leverage required to resize 5.56/.223 brass with an AR Series full-length, small-base resizing die?
Been looking at other "more recent" RCBS single stage presses, but really don't want fo spend the $$ if I don't have to if the JR press will work.
Thanks for any input!!!

Yes ... The RCBS JR press is an "O" frame press. It can easily handle rifle brass all the way up to .30-06 ... and maybe more. I believe RCBS advertises this as an introductory press and can handle swaging rifle brass up to pretty heavy duty magnum sizes. Here is the manual for the RCBS JR3 press. If you are unsure, you can always email or call RCBS tech support. By the way; if you find anything wrong with that press, RCBS will repair or replace it for free!

As Ken said, yes I've used mine for everything from .38 spl to 7mm Remington mag. 'twas my first press and still use it quite a lot as is quicker than the Rock Chucker for the smaller cartridges.
