I dropped by my dealer today looking for either a Beretta M9A1 or 92A1. They had, what was marked on the tag as "92FS M9A1". Thoroughly confused, I mused over for this for a few minutes. The clerk got the original box and it indeed was marked "92FS M9A1".

The pistol had an M9 frame (with rail) and a 92fs slide?

Apparently there may be 4 different models:

92A1- 17 round and tact rail
92FS- 15 round
92FS type M9A1-15 rounds and tact rail
M9-15 rounds

The mag well was not tapered as the mag would not drop out freely.

Any thoughts about what I found at the dealer??
