he llo everyone HERE is something I think you will all find interesting. I have 3 wood loading blocks marked with R.I.A. 1903 & 1908. I am guessing the number represents the year of manufacturing. I have had these for over 30 years. They hold 10 rounds each. The 1903 has 10 rounds of Peters 38 cal with what appears to be wax sealed top. I was wondering if any of you might have any idea or info on these pieces. I did find out that R. I. A. stands for Rock Island Arsenal, which is now a museum of military history. Apparently its been around since 1812. Originally I thought it might have been Rock Island Armory, but upon contacting them, they informed me they have not been around that long. Anyway, I will contact the Arsenal on Monday to see if they can shed any light on these. I have pictures but have not figured out how to post them here. I will keep trying.

Here is the front. For what I have been able to find out, they appear to be Police Practise Wad cutter rounds. Dating back 40-50 years. Attachments:
