i have been using the lee pro auto disk system on my classic turret press. it has always worked great with my pistol calibers but would not drop consistent charges for my .223 cases. i tried the adjustable charge bar but it to left something to be desired. i bit the bullet and bought the rcbs linkage system. it was advertised for progressive presses but it looked like it would work for my turret press. after install, adding my uniflo measure, and some fine tuning,it worked great. it is so consistent that i can't measure the variation. it always falls into the = / - .1grain tolerances of my beam and electronic scales. i couldn't be happier. i know have confidence to crank out the rounds instead of weighing power. this is a great product.

Yes, it is a great product...and Hornady's version is nearly identical. You could have kept your red decor. On the other hand the red/green motif reminds me of Christmas! What powder are you using? Ball powder really measures to a tee, flake and stick not quite so perfect as you are getting.....so I'm thinking you are all giddy about something in a ball powder.....am I right? Anyway congrats.....always nice to make another discovery that makes reloading even funner. I use an RCBS Pro 2000 progressive which uses the outfit you bought. I should share the fact that linkage parts can be swapped. Hornady linkage on a Uniflow, and RCBS linkage on a Hornady P.M. Also the Powder through expanders of either make can be used in pistol loading for the purpose of (in progressives at least) moving powder charging forward a station to make room for a powder cop, lockout die, or bullet feeder. Happy Reloading!

Skipper, If your Uniflow didn't come with one or you don't already have one, I would also recommend getting a powder hopper baffle. They're available at Midway (or other online sources) or your local gun shop... RCBS Powder BaffleI was having issues with powder throw consistency when I started using my Pro2000. As the powder quantity lowered in the hopper, there was less "volume pressure" acting as a downward force on the powder. Therefore, the powder charge decreased as the powder volume decreased; I would have to adjust the micrometer mid-stream and re-measure. After placing the baffle in the hopper, the powder throw from first round to last stays consistent. Kudos and a shout-out to dangun for creating the thread that led me to discover the powder baffle... dangun's videoBeing a fellow Pro2000 user with gws (though he could instruct RINGS around me when it comes to reloading ), I just started using the Case Activated Powder Expander this week when I set up to load .38 Special. It takes a little tinkering, but it works great. It has freed up a spot in my press that I can now prime/expand/powder drop in station #2, use a lock-out die or powder cop in station #3, and FINALLY get to use my tube bullet feeder die in station #4 before I seat/crimp in station #5. If you have questions about the powder expander, I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have in my limited ability.

gws i use h335 most of the time. started using cfe223 lately. both powders work great in the powder drop setup and work great in my m&p ar15. definitely saving my pennies for an identical setup for my 9mm turret. don't want to be swapping things out all the time. until then the pro auto disk stays attached to the 9mm turret.
