We just installed a moving target at the range I believe this is the first one in Wyoming. We used it for the first time in in competition as one of the stages of our Defensive Pistol Shoot this month. Since it was the first time for most of the shooters and it was a blast, It will be a very popular addition. Here is a video of what one looks like , if you never have seen one before

I don't have video of it but we have one at our range. Mega fun!

That looks like it's moving at a brisk pace and not that close to that particular shooter either.

Now that is way cool. I need to try this out too.
I wonder how much more difficult it would be to try this using a double action revolver?

That would be ahem a blast to shoot. Things like this is where I like to see a plain Jane stock gun and not a race gun.

krwada,
One of the members that helped get it and just returned from the Bianchi world finals shoots only revolvers and I must say very well. He has set up to have a clinic on shooting this venue. There are a bunch of people already signed up for it including myself. He is a great instructor and has taught me a bunch about shooting pistol competition. and has proved that you can teach an old dog new tricks (:>}

It is funny to see all the guys come out to a IDPA International Defense Pistol Association Match with race guns. When they find out that their quick draw race gun holster and race gun don't meet the rules they cry alittle but most come back with their everyday carry guns. In several of our setups you would not only have to shot the slider but some swingers and twisters during the same stage. I'll have to video some of the next match that we have.

Ken,At our IDPA matches there are about 15 or 16 guys that shoot nothing but wheel guns. They put up some pretty impressive times. Check this out oh and this is a modified IDPA draw from concealment not required. On one stage there is a twister and another has 2 sliders
