I posted this trick on the old site, but I think many here will like it. Especially those with dimming eyesight. You young guys have no idea how much darker dark is when you get old! What it is....is a white, waterproof, permanent, sticks to any clean surface, paint stick! A bit gooey, but just perfect for making engravings stand out and shout. For example, take this before picture of my 7mm-.45 powder measure drop tube : After the Mean Streak: Or how about my RCBS military crimp reamers below......unmeanstreaked small, meanstreaked large: And checkout how much better you can see the shell holder below after I cold-blued it and then meanstreaked it! Do the same with shell plates: I bought mine at Staples Office Supply in the pens section, and it's simple to put on......see the video below.... excess comes off with a mineral spirits damp paper towel. GWS, Very nice. It looks almost like a glue stick but with a gooey end. Will this work in filling in on any metal surface?

That looks AMAZING!!! So what's the process? Just "paint" it on and wipe away the excess with alcohol or something? Searching Amazon.com for some right now.....

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Yep that is awesome. That actually looks better than some of the stuff I've done using the wifes finger nail polish. Don't tell her I did that.

Erjdriver, paint it on wipe off with paint thinner. Hacker, you can mark about anything, any material. It dries hard and stays there. I used to buy it at the lumber yard....that dried up. Staples has it in their Sharpie section. Internet even has a Japanese brand in many colors....Mean Streak only comes in white or yellow.

Yeah...but were you REALLY using it on "your stuff" and not your own nails?? Erjdriver, paint it on wipe off with paint thinner. Hacker, you can mark about anything, any material.
