Two historical if not very classic loads, finally had the time to make them. I was on the road for business for quit some time and had nearly no time to be active with reloading, shooting, hunting and be here on 2A for a while (sorry guys....... but I did not abandon ya all). Plus I had both my Freedom Arms revolvers back form repair last week, both firing pins broke. The the guns were send back to the USA where S&W USA repaired them. Freedom Arms did not even took the effort to help me out........ they pissed me of big time. I had repaired them my self at first but the steel I had/used was to soft/weak. But S&W USA took up the challenge and did the job brilliantly thanks to S&W Netherlands/Europe who did all the paperwork and shipment. The loads I made: A. The .44S&W Special with the Mr. Himmelwright bullet design from early 1900's and one of the very first "target" bullets designed . See Mr. Fryxell his book about it (made originally for the .44 Russian) B. The .44S&W Special with the E. Keith 250gr bullet (Alliant/Hercules 2400 powder) one of the real classic's ever in my opinion. The .44Mag is there for comparison Can't wait to try these out. I made 25 of them each for testing next week.

Sorry to hear you had trouble with Freedom Arms. They have been great in all of my dealings. I even had a chance to visit their facility on one of my trips to Wyoming. As for 44 loads . . . that Elmer Keith load you mentioned is a very good load. I have a number of 44 Magnum Handguns and use that load in all of them with good results. Enjoy you time at the range and let us know how the loads preform.

Howdy SnapShot, I have been at their factory as well, I had my .357 custom made by them (1 of 1) and picked up personally and brought it back with me to the Netherlands. Hell..... they even used my revolvers at the IWA shot show in Nuremberg Germany for over 8 years !!!!!!! Because they did not had enough guns for display at the time. But the former director and head of sales do not work there anymore. I contacted them but they did not comment on what is going on right now at FA. That does not sound all that good I guess. But hey the guns are back, that's what counts.
