Not sure where to post "Tactical Training Threads", hope this spot is okay. Two weeks ago my son and I spent 5 days at Front Sight in Nevada. Took their Tactical Pistol Training Course (great course, if you haven't been to Front Sight, check it out, we met people from all over the US and Canada while we were there). Everyone was impressed with the overall operation. But I degrees . . . I just received a Laserlyte, Laser Trainer Pro and Laser Target. Want to get some dry-fire time to prefect sight picture, trigger pull and other training lessons. Well, my problem is the Trainer Pro came with an adapter mounting screw with no head (just threaded shaft) and on top of that it doesn't work at all. I bust my hump to buy "Made in the U.S.A." and am really disappointed in the lack of QC when something like this happens. Some of the guys at the range say Laserlyte has a lot of quality issues. I was wondering if any of you have had dealings with them and if so what was your experience. I have sent them an e-mail, I'll let you know how this works out. If they don't resolve it quickly I'll just send all of it back to Natchez Shooters Supply.

Thanks Dan, looks like a great site.
LaserLyte can't address my problem until December due to back orders so I returned everything to Natchez.

Snap- sorry for the problem, but thanks for sharing. LaserLyte's looking like a no-go. Dan, I imagine you have experience with the product line you suggested. Are the triggers a good approximation of the real thing ?

Pooh, The trigger is fully adjustable so you can match it to the rig you carry. Unfortunately they only come as a glock but the experience or I should say the muscle memory you gain by using this type of training device is immeasurable. That mags are dummies but are removeable and weight the same as a fully loaded mag. I have had mine for a couple of years now and just love it. The best part is that the red laser is strong enough to be seen at just over 25 yards in daylight. The green laser is even better. There are a few laser reactive targets out there if you just have to have them but I have the wife tape up some paper plates all over the house then I go on a hunt. It makes for some very good practice.

Dan, thanks for the followup. Also, I love the idea of the "Easter Egg Hunt". A great supplement to paper punching at known ranges.
