Not at all a rifle to reload, but I just became an owner of one by buying one from someone who needed money more than that little rimfire and his other guns. I know I paid way more than one costs new, but that wasn't the point. I don't know ANYTHING about this little pip squeek rim fire with a black plastic stock. Anyone have one? Useful for anything? Any fun? Also bought a German Mauser, sportsterized, devoid of any markings (at all) rebarreled for .243, with a double trigger (wow talk about a hair trigger) and a cheap 3-9 scope. Seems weird to have a long probably .8mm action and drop a short .243 into the over-length magazine. Is that normal or safe? Next was a Stag horn gripped German Rohm .38 Spl. Model 63?? cowboy 6-gun (DOUBLE ACTION!!!) missing the ejector rod and front sight!!! Yessiree I really had a special purchase! Oh well it was for a good cause.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

G- I just recently took delivery on a Mark II, in .22LR. I was looking for a knock around .22, and with my Hunter Ed discount, the pricing was great. I'd heard good stuff about Savages in general (the only other one I own is an old 340 in .30-30, made when the world was different) but for the price point, I didn't expect much. I was wrong. The accuracy out of the box was amazing. (Literally did nothing but run a patch through the bore and tightened the action screws before shooting.) If yours was treated reasonably well, you could have a lot of fun.

My son has a Savage Model 93 .17HMR with a laminate stock. His rifle likes the 20 grain bullets and is a tack driver with them. He tried the 17 grain bullets but it was all over the paper with them. It makes a great woodchuck slayer.
Try both weights of bullets to see which your rifle likes best and have fun.
