I don't want to sound like a goodie-two-shoe but I have a question for all of you. Has anyone else noticed the increase in colorful phases and expletive terms being used here? I have elected to limit my grandson's access to our site unless I pre-read the post. I do not recall so much profanity at the RCBS site. Don't get me wrong, I can keep up with any of you in this area at the gun store or at hunting camp (when it's just us guys). I wonder if the same colorful language would be used in person or if everyone thought about kids and ladies reading these posts. If I'm out of line, sorry; I can just keep policing things on my end.

I appreciate your honesty and candor, SnapShot. And I agree. I think too many times (and I'll just speak for myself) I just think it's us "old and older farts" sitting around the reloading bench with the beverage of our choice and a stogie, telling lies and shooting the "stuff"...kinda like we'd do with hangar flying on a rainy day. I forget this might be a valid avenue for some of us as father's and grandfather's (and their female counterparts, if they participate) to share this with the kids.
I'm sure I've been guilty of this in minor form and will certainly be more aware of this. Thanks for bringing it to my (our) attention!!
Regards, JVB

Thank you for bringing this up. I'm sure I have done a couple also. I am one for keeping this place as up and up so all can enjoy the time at this house.

If we want our youngsters to learn about reloading they should be able to come here without fear.

Snap, I'm sure I, too, have sinned ! I appreciate your observation, as well as the positive response it has received. I will do my part to cut the, er...to elevate the level of the language !
As an aside, some of this is indicative of the comfort level we have with each other, and from what I've gathered, most of us are used to calling a spade a shovel, at least in the company of our friends !
Anyway, good, thoughtful post.

I think for now ... we shall keep this as self-policing.
I know I have sworn many times here at 2A-Munitions ... usually in the political sub-forum.

Thanks for the responses. I'm just pointing out an observation; not suggesting any type of policing.
This just seems like a good family orientated place to share and enjoy common interests, I'd hate to see it change. Thanks again!

I think for now ... we shall keep this as self-policing. I know I have sworn many times here at 2A-Munitions ... usually in the political sub-forum. I just had two points levied against me over at the THR forum for "cussing". They have no political sub-forum. First string of cuss words: "Obama's anti fossil energy policies will soon shut down the two big coal-fired power plants in NW New Mexico". Next cuss word string: "When that happens Southern California can look forward to rolling backouts again." Yeah...my cuss words are kinda long. I'm about done with that outfit....... I agree with the family site and such, but when we started looking like the liberal anti-gun web sites......then we're in trouble. Lets not forget the difference between "family oriented/acceptable language" (no F-S-H-B-B-AH-BS) and (BS) political correctness spouted by enemies of free America. What might make me want to cuss? My son-in-law has had to move twice in two years trying to keep his job and pay scale at a coal-fired power plant. His most recent move? To Tucson to a Natural Gas plant! He and my daughter LOVE the weather there! The huge coal fired plant just North of Holbrook Arizona will be forced to shut down (completely) in another year. They were forced to shutdown 2 of the 4 stacks at APS north of Kirtland NM where he worked previously,....and are about to match that at the NM public service plant 4 miles away from that one. So much for my local economy.....and California's ample power. What was the thread's subject? I'm making a hand-cranked bullet collator and they were wondering why? BTW there's one crusty icon here that needs to go IMO. ( ) or just remove the "f". I support the effort Snapshot!

Hey There gws, I'm with you 100%, the "Politically Correct" pendulum has gone so far LEFT it makes me sick. It does make it difficult to express my opinion of that along with my thoughts on the liberal media in this country without getting into some colorful phraseology. My only effort here was to make our point without lowering our standards. Thanks again to all who responded and commented. The 1st Amendment is as critical as the 2nd Amendment!

Without the protections of the 2nd amendment ... the 1st amendment is meaningless!
I stand by what I just said ... to the very fiber of my being.

Point well taking snapshot,I do agree with you,Sometmes in the heat of the momment it just flies out no thought considered. I have a grand daughter and when folks cuss around her I let them know it is unacceptable family members or not,I am not going for it,I have changed my ways when she came into my life.I do realize that she will hear it from others as she goes through life but she will not hear it from my mouth period......
