Hello everyone. I am currently looking to replace my Lyman 1000 digital scale. I am getting tired of constantly having to recalibrate this thing.
I am looking for an electronic scale only. I am still very happy with my RCBS 5-0-5 balance. I just need an electronic scale to quickly check bullet weights and other stuff.
What do you recommend?
Thanks! Ken

for minor bullet and power checks, I've been using the RCBS RangeMaster 750 for 4 years and it's works well for me. I turn it on a couple of hours before hand to let the drift settle down. I usually check against the RCBS standard weights and it's always been accurate.
For powder dispense it use the ChargeMaster 1500 which is great.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Ken, I know I'm swimming against the tide, but earlier this year I replaced my 20 year old PACT with a Lyman Accutouch 2000. I have no complaints other than it appears to be a bit of a battery pig. (I now run it on AC, using a circuit uncontaminated by fluorescent bulbs.) I do let it warm up while I'm pulling other stuff together, and periodically throw a check weight or two on it to see what's up. I have checked it against my thirty-five year old balance beam scale, and if they're off, at least they agree. This is contrary to the experience related by you and Dan, but there it is.
