Some of you may remember the post I made a couple of years ago at the hub. In that post I talked about my mother wanting to go on one more coyote hunt with me. Well we did go on that last hunt together and it was the best hunt we ever had. On Dec 3 2014 my mothers doctor told her that her 4 years of Chemo treatments were now doing more harm than good and that she should contact Hospice. On Dec 16th surrounded by family, my mother passed.
2014 was not a good year for my family and many others around the world. I sure hope 2015 is better!

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Dan, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my mother to cancer years ago, and can relate. Thanks for sharing the memory of the last hunt.

Hello Dan; I am sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your loved ones at this time.
I am also very glad to hear that you did manage to go on the last coyote hunt with your Mom before she passed on.

Dan: I saw the comment on the shoutbox talking about your loss, but I missed your Dec. 29th post, and couldn't find any reference to what happened until today. Very sorry for the loss of your Mother. I know what you are going through first hand as I lost my Dad one year ago....also on December 16th. Christmas was bitter sweet....we were glad he didn't have to endure it here. On the other hand he spent it with his "honey", his parents and his siblings who passed before him. I was his care giver for the previous 4 months and in the last 2 months I had to do everything for him. I still hurt, but I know we will enjoy each others company soon in much better circumstances. I know that, and it makes it easier to cope.
We just celebrated Christmas again, and we, by tradition, exchanged gifts. We too often forget that Christ was His father's gift to us, the first gift. That gift means we live again.
2015 will be better, but you won't forget, you'll just be glad she isn't suffering this year and is safely home.....so happy New Year, Dan!

My deepest condolences, Dan, for the loss of your mother. I was driving home today with a tear in my eye thinking how my mother is going to be 80 in March. We are blessed that she is in WONDERFUL health, even after recovering from open heart surgery when she was 78 1/2.
May 2015 bless you and your family.....
