Chuck, That would be one title that I would wear with HONOR!!!! As long as it helps to keep IDIOTS like that from the range and endangering other people. Now I haven't had Scotch in quite some time. I am more of a Bourbon man. Now I don't know if you are like me but depends on the mood if I'm using the single shot glass of the double shot glass. I use ice in less tempered moods. Bourbon is good ... I have a bottle of Woodford reserve in my cabinet!

Now that we have totally changed to direction of this conversation,I also enjoy a good Scotch. I prefer my single malt neat or with a splash of water but like Chuck I enjoy my "grab"Scotch Dewar's White or Gold with ice and water! I also have a nice Bourbon, Blanton's and one I just found Breaking & Entering from Alameda,California this is not a joke,It's a blend of Kentucky's finest

Ok guys we got way off course on this one and that's fine I know how we all feel about the IDIOTS in our ranks and I left myself open to this going which is cool too. Since we seem to be I will tell you all I prefer Scotch but also have acquired a taste for good bourbon mostly Knob Creek, Blantons or Four Roses I would love to try Pappy Van Whinkle. As for my Scotch I keep JW Blue on hand and my single malt of choice is Lagavulin 16. For the record I never drink while doing anything firearm related and a quart of any of what's listed usually lasts me SEVERAL months.

How 'bout a wee taste! My son and I are looking for that also! Enjoy! Come on over Bob I would share a WEE DRAM with ya my friend. Good luck finding it I had several local stores and distributors looking for it for over 18 months before they found it. So it's kind of a good thing Knob Creek, Buffalo Trace and Blantons are easier to get LOL..............

Thanks for the offer Chuck be over at 5! Got Blantons my LLS has Knob Creek and almost had a bottle of Pappy but the distributor sold it to someone in the East! If you can find it try Breaking & Entering. I'm finding i would be fun but not very healthy to try all of the good Scotch and American whiskeys.

Given your past month or so, you probably need more than a sampling Chuck .

I prefer more than a sample. If up to me I have them deliver a keg. Hey buying in bulk is cheaper.

My eldest son is over for Sunday dinner at the Wada's. Later this evening, it will be a sip of Mezcal with a nice pipeful of tobacco.
I prefer Mezcal ... Tequila is for pussies.

Ken, Is it the good Mezcal ya know with the worm. No worm in this stuff Gary. This stuff has a scorpion in it! It is called Scorpion Mezcal. And yes, I have eaten the pickled scorpion. It tastes a bit like pickled shrimp.... Pickled shrimp with dirt... that is what it tastes like.

Ken, I would give it a try for the scorpion. Hell I've tried toasted grasshoppers and some other foods that would make some people turn every shade of the rainbow.

I don't turn colors, but I don't eat pickled anything except maybe cucumbers and peppers......definitely not animal life. Come on, give me steak or give me room to go find one. ......ok I'll settle for hot links and root beer......pickled scorpions? Might as well be pickled cock roaches. Not a chance.

Yes we are surrounded......the good part is they are small and not the variety extremely poisonous.....very painful yes, life threatening no.....for those kind you have to go south into Mexico. The other good part is that they move out of populated areas, along with the Tarantulas. Giant 10" long Centipedes are less spooked by civilization, paper wasps, not spooked at all. I have to buy a case of wasp killer every year to keep nests out of the doorways of my 950 self storage units. Their sneak dive bombing tactics terrorize the tenants! Hey maybe you could make you some home brew and add a few wasps!
