I have been thinking about this ever since I home Sunday and finally figured that I would post this. As I posted the other day I got to spend my favorite holiday all year regrettably at the Jersey shore. Like I said then to many people, to many vehicles and to much concrete for me but I kept an open mind. Keep in mind I had only a few friends when I was younger so most of the people at this wedding I had not seen since 1986. All I will say is time has been way better to me than it has most of them. My Sr prom date was their and looking at her now god knows here corner pharmacy ( ) ruined her. An old friend ( sorta ) has never grown up still all he wants to do is party. That in and of itself no big deal until you realize he is a high school history teacher. Then their was my childhood crush and all I can say is what ever happened to her should be criminal. As for the rest well lets just say all the drinking, partying, and local corner pharmacies have not been kind at all. Their were a few surprises like the girl no one liked or got along with HUBBA HUBBA she has gotten better with age. Then you have the class clown who was the biggest pothead in school now working for the US Marshals Service in NY. The guy that dropped out of school a week before graduation is now the girl who dropped out of school a week before graduation. All in all I will not be going back to see any of them any time soon.

Sounds a lot like my 20th a long time ago. Haven't been to one since.

Chuck, oh how I can relate! My 35th is coming up 7/25. What you said, hits so close to home, in so many ways! I will post an update after the 25th so we can compare notes. seems like just yesterday I attended my 30th! LOL

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Chuck, do you remember the old song "Garden Party" by Ricky Nelson ? (Came out ~ 1972) Sounds like you had a similar experience. Hard to go home again, although I'm one of the guys who drifted back home after college and kind of stuck here. My perspective is a mirror image of what you saw ! In any event, burn some powder, you'll feel better ! BTW, how's your healing thing going ?

I missed my 10th.....was in the hospital with a broken back. I tried to fly backwards on a roof carrying a sheet of plywood.....freak gust of wind blew me backwards through a skylight and broke half my bones. I survived. I'm still kicking, running a construction business, taking care of apartments and self storages, and shooting. My 20th I just didn't go.....never was much interested in parties or reunions..... Either they quit inviting me after that or they quit having them ..... the next one would be the 50th in 2017 when I'm 68! Shucks now, I just watch the obituaries. My super active high school sweetheart died of Diabetes 5 years ago. Her husband married another classmate 4 years ago. I'm betting the people who were into organizing them are mostly dead or in nursing homes! Who knows, maybe I'm next. Yawn....tired enough tonight.
