Ok so my wife put up a new trail camera over a food plot and mineral lick we have in the back corner of our property. It was a new camera put up right at dark so she did not preset time and date. I went in Sat night to sit and watch with it being a clear night with a full moon I could see quite well. That's when I noticed lights were they shouldn't be. I will post one pic and once a get a photo bucket account set up post a few others. Most of the light activity too place off camera but we did get a few pics of the lights on camera. I did some how manage to post these pics in reverse order the stationary pic with the light in the tree should be first and that light is 22 feet off the ground and that deer never flinched when it streaked past him. What do you guys think.

Camera artifact? or UFO. Or Sasquatch carries flashlights now. IOW's who knows? Maybe you ought to setup a tent out there and see if it comes back....... how brave are we? or maybe sleep in a treestand for a night? More seriously, try setting up your camera in the house tonight, and see if the lights return......if they do.....artifacts.

GWS that's just it I watched those lights for about 2 hrs the other night. Most of the activity was off to the right of the picture out of the cameras view. I set up 2 more cameras to watch the area better. They were silent different sizes and colors red, yellow, white and green yet the only light the camera picked up was the white one. In my sight when the light is still in the tree were the red, yellow and white lights. The tilled field and area off to the right had a few deer on it and they acted like the lights weren't their and there was NO SOUND I can not associate with wildlife when these lights appeared. The vanished as fast as they appeared after about 2 hrs. I will pay this place another couple visits at night and see if they come back.

Colors? Okay, I'll be a good listener if you have an alien abduction experience report. Okay, do be careful.....no smiley here. That's really weird. Now maybe you will take me serious about my moving light a few weeks ago! I didn't even get a response to that post! Except for the "yeah right" silent treatment.

GWS I showed these and a couple other pics to a few folks here and they told me they were methane balls till they were shown a day time pic of the area. I do not know what they are but it was very how should I put this calming. I showed the wife these pics and told here what I saw and she freaked out.

When I lived in Arkansas for a year I heard about the methane balls in the swamps. They were supposedly blue....not all colored. What about a nocturnal drug transaction meeting place? Any roads out there? The animals would have spooked at that sort of thing, though......can't help you.
My moving light was white as in arc welding white....just not quite that bright. Twice the size of what a helicopter landing light would be at that distance and moving more than twice as fast.....only there's no military in the San Lewis Valley, Colorado....that's a lazy farming community, with a village every 6 to 8 miles. Weirdness too.....a hot spot for weird things.....sightings in the sky and farm animals carved open in the middle of the night, surgically, with their entrails neatly removed.
I was in the car with my brother-in-law and our wives, having taken them to dinner, at a local Mexican Cafe....they saw the thing and while the men were gasping, the women were saying, "so....." until we explained how fast they were moving. (a fast plane at treetop level with no landing strip for miles.) Then their eyes got big and and they quit the woman chit-chat and stayed real quiet for the rest of the way back home.

I've had pics with similar lights in them but I thought it was the cameras flash reflecting off of flying insects. But if your sitting there watching the lights I have no idea what it is. Lightning bugs would be the easy answer but I'm sure you've ruled that out already.

Ok so have been thinking hard on this and trying to understand it and what it could be. I spoke to a friend of mine and his wife who was a History Prof at WVJC and is a folk lore expert for this area. This is what I was told:
Dating from the later 1600's through the mid 1800's the area were I live was claimed by the Shawnee Indians as their land. It was also claimed as hunting land for quite a few other tribes The Delaware, Iroquios, Cherokee, Lenape, Ottawa, Sauk, Fox and Erie. This lead to many Indian on Indian fights some very brutal. So naturally knowing the history and being a folklorist she went straight to the spirit world. Truthfully I do not know what they were but I am not a believer in the spirit realm like she is so I will keep digging.

What? You don't believe in fairies either? OK, no Sasquatch, no glowing swamp gas, no UFO's, no spirits, no fairies,......how about parallel dimensions, star gates, or worm hole openings? Here's what I think......yeah.......it didn't happen....your mind was playing tricks on you. That's what they told Travis Walton and his logger associates from Arizona, after acing lie detector tests. Shucks Chuck, it's easier lie and say you were mistaken.......you just saw those lights in your head not your back yard....it happened when you closed your eyes.....we've all done that, right? You really ought to visit out west, sometime, where lot of that kind of action is. This sort of thing is so common that people tell the stories and then go "huh!" and they all move on. I'll tell you another quick story....happened to my oldest daughter 3 years ago while family camping in Southern Colorado with a church group of 30 people. Near Mancos Colorado. She, her husband and the kids were sleeping in a tent. Middle of the night about 2 am. Suddenly she was awakened by a bright light outside that was so bright it lit up the inside of the tent like day! She pushed on her husband to wake him up. He woke startled and said, what's going on!" Just then the light disappeared. Pitch black. No sound. Jon opened the flap and looked out.....nothing. Nobody was stirring at all.....still not a sound. Next morning they found that no one else experienced the light or even woke up.....so then they asked around about night trips to the bushes.....nothing. Nobody had landing lights for a flash light anyhow. Life goes on, no explanation at all. Picture below is of where they were within a mile....pretty wild country. I've camped out there for years and never saw anything like that.

I'm a very spiritual person.....I go to church, I believe in God and I believe in the Devil....and heaven and hell........but I don't buy what your friend said either. I do think there are still many realities in this world that we don't know about or understand .....but we will someday....if not here, on the other side. I don't have a clue about your lights, my light, or my daughter's light. I'm also not too worried about them either. Makes life interesting.

GWS I believe in god and the devil I just do not buy ghosts, bigfoot, Nessie and the like. So when she went to spirits that haven't crossed over I got the Homer Simpson looking at a pink frosted doughnut look on my face .......
You also could be correct about those lights being a figment of my imagination and I would not argue that with you except for what showed up in those few frames that isn't in any of the other night time frames that were shot. However I will still spend some more time out their at night to see if those lights return.

Chuck, Question. Were you close to that deer when it streaked buy him? If so how close were you to the buck? He is a theory of mine. You judged about 22 feet up which would put it just above tree top with good clearance. I am thinking someone with one of those drones looking for deer maybe to poach? With drones so easy to obtain and to outfit with cameras like the Go-Pro. Some of these are hard to hear flying.
Greg, I have seen like you a lone light in the sky at night. I was with friends when we all saw it. We told people the next day and of course were told "yea right" by most until someone backed us up with a news report in our local paper of the police trying to make out what the light they saw was. To this day have no idea what it could have been and yet to see one like it since. Yes there are things out there that are yet to be explained.
Chuck, Just an added thought. Game officers could use a drone device to seek out poachers using infrared and thermal imaging to aid in their efforts to catch poachers. As I stated just a thought.

Gary the 22 feet off the ground is not a guess I had a stand in that tree for 3 years so I know how far off the ground that light was. I was with in 100 feet of that deer when the light streaked by it sitting in a Dog House one man blind. Other than animal noises their were no other sounds and the lights were different sizes and colors. Most of the light activity was off to the right and off camera also quite a bit of the activity was within 10' of so of the ground. I will check the cameras again over the weekend trying not to disturb the area to much we usually just bow hunt it because it is an early season hot spot and major buck crossing. I spent a few hrs last night 1am-3:30am sitting on a trail that allows me to see this area and other than a few deer crossing saw nothing else.

Personally.........I want to believe in the fairies theory! Chuck!.............out there on the trail, you must have scared them all off! However if fairies are real, then most likely so are ogres, trolls, and goblins. I'm not so anxious to believe in them.....be careful out there. Speaking of scared off......where did Dangun go? He's been missing in action for a while. You don't suppose.......... Chuck, more seriously, I don't think for a second that you having been hallucinating, unless you admit to drugs or too much strawberry wine, but you may never know what it is. BTW, for the record, just how far away are your neighbors? The concept of UFOs is just what the abbreviation stands for Unidentified Flying Objects. Not flying saucers, not alien spaceships, not alien abductions. So your sighting qualifies.....and it remains a UFO until its identified.......that said, a light may or may not include an object.

GWS it's about 250-300yrds to the neighbors property line from were I was sitting. His property starts in the bottom of the holler this flat sits above. I thought that maybe he was screwing with me but he and his entire family are still in Maine. They won't be back for another 3 weeks and like me he keeps tight rein on who gets on his property. If either of us see someone we do not recognize on either property we stop and question them.

Chuck, not too far back, early this month or late last month, we had gone through a meteor band. I cant remember if it was persids, or leonids but they come every year as the earth revolves around the sun. If memory serves our weatherman/meteorologist said they were most visible in the North to North East sky closer to the horizon, here in MI. This Might be a possible explanation for you, although I personally observed very few, and none of them were in color, only white.

I just checked my trail cam today and found 1 pic with a strange light. The pic before & after this one were normal and the deer was still there so I guess that the aliens failed to "beam" this little guy up. lol
