This sucker is overmolded Rubber....as in padded! As in finally an AR stock that doesn't feel like cramming a 2X4 against your shoulder!! Nice molded cheek piece too.....I will buy this for my Ruger 556 as soon as I find one.....lets see.....green, or tan, or black? ? That's a hard one.

Greg, thanks for sharing. I'll have to show this to the son-8in-law to see what he thinks. They do look like they be comfortable to shoot with. Are you planning on getting the butt and grip or just the butt?

Greg, my Mini 14 will just have to suffice! Bob I am with you on the mini 14........... It may take time you guys, but you will be assimilated! I remember many years ago, a few months after I gave my son a Ruger 1022, and I was disappointed that my son packed away that beautiful walnut stock and replaced it with one of those early piece of junk plastic tactical stocks......oh it was light all right but it felt like a heavy coat hanger in the hands. Ugh! That's about how I felt when I went shooting the first time with the Ruger 556.....ugh.....a combination of a coat hanger and a 2x4. Was missing my vintage stainless mini, that felt like a comfortably worn in pair of shoes. (my other son was given the mini). Idunno, I just thought the SR .556 would be a worthwhile and refreshing change, and it is a neat gun......for one thing it is accurate as hell, more so than my old Mini.....but it don't compare in the comfort dept. I will let you all know if this new stock makes any diff. Hacker!......I'll probably buy the butt first ..... no use replacing a perfectly good and comfortable grip if the stock don't work. And If I do it'd be just for color match. So which color to you like best...... I like the green, but if I (heaven forbid) ever have to defend my piece of desert, I suppose the tan and a can of tan spray paint stored in my gun safe might be smarter.

Greg hate to be the barer of bad news but I have turned so many of those things down in trade or for sale cheap it isn't even funny. Ever time I even think about buying one I want to . I hated them when I had no choice but to use them when I was in the army and that has not changed one bit. Have I shot modern versions of them sure and I still think of them the same way IMHO they are worthless as tits on a boar hog again that's just my opinion.
