Well fellas I think this is something most if not all of us have done. Have you ever bought something for future use and PUT IT AWAY so you could find it later only to not be ABLE TO FIND it when you needed it. Maybe you have misplaced keys, glasses, garage door remote, TV remote, favorite knife, fishing pole, something anything. Then you search every common place and some very odd places looking for it. Well the last time Mid South had RETUMBO I bought 3lbs and as you can tell by the lean of this I put it away so I could find it when I needed it which would be today. I am planning to load some 25-06's and really like a RETUMBO load I have worked up. Only problem is to run a full 50 round batch I need a fresh can of powder which means I have to tweak the load changing lots and can not for the life of me remember were I put the box it is in. I searched the loading room last night, the area at the shop were I use to have a bench, my bedroom, both the shop kitchen and the one at home to include the fridge (don't laugh I have found keys, remotes and several other items in this place), the wife's vehicle my vehicle, the garage, and our out building all with no luck. So now with my 25-06 I am at a stand still. So tell me what have you lost and were is the strangest place you have found said items. SO YES INSTEAD OF MISPLACING THE RETUMBO I SHOULD HAVE JUST PLACED IT WITH MY OTHER BENCH POWDERS....

Look in the Freezer, or the trash can.......that's where I lose things. The freezer is no big deal, unless freezing ruins the item, but the trash can......there's a window....then it's too late. My wife lost her purse one year.....two months later I found it in the freezer behind a couple of steaks. As for my keys and remotes....the likely place is in the trash can. I throw things away and forget that I have my keys in my hand while throwing away other trash. Been several close calls......and other times things are gone forever...once Waste Control shows up. My other worse place is an unchecked shirt or pants pocket that goes through the wash.....the latest one last week was a thumb drive my wife found after a laundry load in the bottom of the washer......it still worked!! My CAD file backups! As for powder.....where would I misplace powder? ? Most likely I'd put something in front of it on a shelf, if it made it out of the shopping bag.........if not........trash can. As for misplacing things.......my pet peeve is misplacing things I need now that I had in my hands 10 minutes ago!!! That about drives me insane! If that happens to you young guys once a year.....just wait....how about once every 4 hours. Yup....almost ready for the luney bin.

Well guys I suffer from both. Trying to find something I put away and thing I set down and need minutes later. I have a Bianchi Ranger holster for a 6 inch K-frame S&W and it would also fir my H&R Sportsman 22 revolver. Well I now live in the house we moved to six years. Well I have been looking that long and maybe a bit longer for that holster. I could not find it. I even looked in the boxes of stuff when we moved here. No luck. I even asked the father-in-law if by any chance did I leave at his place answer was nope. Well this past spring my wife and oldest daughter was up in the attic going through things to get rid of things no longer needed and guess what? Yep they found it. I'm still looking for a nylon duty belt and dual speed loader pouch. Chuck maybe if someone else looks for your powder that they might find it. The grandson that was living with us if I couldn't find something I describe the item and the little bugger would find it for me and it wouldn't take him long either. Greg as for misplacing things in the hands 10 minutes ago yes I suffer the same fate whether it be the loading bench or the work bench. I'll set something down turn around to get something to help finish when turned back around I know I put it down but can't find the damn thing. It's there but my grey matter isn't kicking in.

Bob, first and foremost, it will be in the last place you look! Secondly my missing .45 ACP brass is still on the lamb, so when you find the powder let me know where it was at, so I can look there too!

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Gents, I also suffer from these conditions. On a similar note, I also find myself periodically trying to clean up the bench, and find stuff I didn't know I had, and honestly, can't remember where or when I acquired it. I think it's possible that Michael Bloomberg has been sending his minions out to swap stuff around and mess with our minds. Now, if I can just figure out why the sights on my Hi-Power, which were plenty big when I bought it thirty-five years ago, have shrunk...

Found it this morning pack in my hunting box wrapped in my rain gear. I for the life of me do not remember putting it their but that is were it was. I guess all's well that ends well.
