I was on the road today on business, and just happened (ahem) to pass one of my favorite gun shops. As always, I gravitated to the bargain table-I'm known as a big spender...- and came upon a Lyman tong tool in good shape, and in its original box. I made a real low-ball offer, and ended up walking out with that and a calendar ! Now, I really just wanted one to goof around with, and at the price, I don't care what the result is, but I don't know how to tell if it is a large handle (rifle) or small handle (revolver). Does anyone have any experience with these ? From what I can tell, it's like trying to tell whether newly hatched chicks are little hens or little roosters ! Thanks !

Lyman still sells certain ones yet if you check out their site.

Assuming this guy knows what he's talking about, it appears I have a large set. ps-2.kev009.com/ohlandl/Cast_Bullet/Lyman_310_Tool.htmlLooking at the critter and comparing it to diagrams, it looks like all the parts are there. I'll keep my eyes open for a set of dies-I'm just looking to goof around with this, so I'm certainly not going to buy anything new, or priced as new. Anyway, for what I've got into it thus far, it looks interesting, and I suspect that if all else fails, I can get my money out of it.
