Since 7mm(Chuck) mentioned Retumbo and a few of us had not known of or used it, I'm curious as to how many different powders do you have and how many do you regularly use. I currently have about 20 of which I regularly 10 -12 some of the others are/were for load development which I'll still shoot for fun.

Well for me here's a list of what I have and use. Win. 748 and 760 Yes the 760 is also H414. Win 231 the same HP-38. I just used up the last of my Win Action Pistol and they no longer sell this but I just learned that powder is now marketed by Ramshot Powders under their Silhouette label. When Winchester dropped this from their line Ram Shot bought the marketing rights to sell under their label. I still have about 10lbs. of Win 571 that I'm using for handgun and shotshell in 20ga. Just under a pound of Win 540 I also use Win. Superfield . I have Alliant's Red Dot and Blue Dot. Hodgdon powders it is H 322 which I used a lot in the 444 Marlin. Universal and International Clays powders for shotshell and handgun. I'll be working on loads for the 6.8 SPC Rem. with H322 and H335. I have been working on loads for the 30/30 using Hodgdon's Leverevolution powder. I got IMR's Trail Boss to try for 30/30 Accelerator rounds. Once the W571 and W540 are gone I'll have to look for something else. HS6 is equal to 540 per Hodgdon and I'll have to look for Ramshot's Silhouette. An edit update. I have Varget on hand also. OK had to recheck the powder cabinet. I also have Hodgdon's Longshot. Now I have them all on here.

Dang it Bob this made me go check LOL: Total of 29..................
USE: HAVE JUST IN CASE : 1) RETUMBO RL23 2) IMR 7977 RL26 3) IRM 4551 RL19 4) IRM 4350 IMR 3031 5) IRM 4320 H322 6) IMR 4166 H380 7) IMR 4064 H335 8) IMR 4831 H1000 9) IMR 4895 IMR 7828 SSC 10) RL 25 NORMA 202 11) RL22 NORMA 203 12) VARGET NORMA 217 13) W760 VINHT 550 14) H414 15) H4895 16) H4831
In all fairness some of the just in case powders by way of trade like all the Norma, 7828 SSC, H1000. Some I bought and tried but keep them around for the lean times RL 19, 23, 26, IMR 3031. The H322, 335 and 380 are just versatile powders I keep for 223, 22-250, 30-06 etc etc.
Gary while H414 and W760 are the same powders they both perform differently for some odd reason in some instances. With respect to Hodgdon and their numbers I ran a cycle for a Ruger American 7mm-08 for a friend and the H414 peformed well just flat out better in accuracy, group consistency and velocity. All the loads were weighed twice once on an electric and once on a balance beam. All bullets in this case 150gr Sie GK's were seated the same and measured twice to be sure. It is something I have seen before and can not explain and I have asked Hodgdon about it and they can not explain it to me either.

Chuck, I also had to go look and I may have missed a couple that are behind other similar powders.

I typically take the simplified approach. The fewer powders I use the deeper I can stock them.
Unique and Power Pistol for 9/40/45
Red Dot and American Select for Shotgun (can also do double duty in my pistol loads)
4895, Varget, RL15, 3031 for rifle (only load for .223 and .308)
Have sold or traded off everything else. My OCD won't allow me to have that many spare powders around.

I use the old analogy for powders and load development that they are kinda like my wife and truck.
As long as they work and make me happy, I have no reason to go find another one....

I am going to have to eat my words on trying a new powder. After my last gripe session at the range about how poorly 3031 meters on a progressive press with .223, my reloading friends chipped in and bought me 2 #'s of BL-C2 and now I'm hooked. It meters like a dream and my gun store gets it in regularly....
