Ok so Bob's Powders U Have thread has me thinking about streamlining my powder supply notice I said thinking about it. The way I figure it I can take a hand full of powders say 10 or so and just keep an open #8 and a sealed #8 of each in the case of a couple RL powders it would be an open #5 and 2 sealed #5 kegs. Along the same line I can streamline my prime supply say just keeping CCI 200, 250 and 400's along with Win SRP, LRP, and MLRP's. I would keep some CCI BR primers as well. Again along those lines I have a few things in need of a good new home excesses if you will a Lee Challenger press, 2 RCBS presses one Partner and one Rock Chucker along with dies in 22-250, 243, 270, 280, 7mm08, 7RM, 308, 30-06, 300WM and WSM a Lee balance beam scale and powder thrower. So maybe it is time to move some of my excess loading stuff to a good new home. I have a neighbor kid that wants to learn to load for himself and his birthday is coming up. Thinking that if he is serious I might be able to help him out as well as him helping me LOL.

Don't streamline your powder collection on my account.......two reasons I don't match your collection: 1. I don't have the time you do to play with all those loads. 2. I don't have the money to devote to that many powders to test. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun to get both the time and money........and the collection! Don't begrudge you one bit...have some fun....before you get too old to. BTW, I saw that my trusty ole Pro 2000 progressive press is selling at MidSouth at clearance prices......if I had some extra, I'd add another. The neighborhood kid idea is a good one......but do check him out. We don't need any more nuts on the front page.....make sure he has all his screws tight before you enable him to....

GWS I would be doing this for me as it would make keeping track of my powder inventory easier as YES I track what I have in each container and label then with a strip of tape and amount of powder left in the container. If this new IMR powder works as well as the others I could easily reduce the number of powders I keep. The primers I have listed are the ones I use most often. As for the neighbor kid well yes his birthday is coming up but I am talking coming up as in September and yes I will make sure I do not have another Trenton on my hands. The kids dad isn't all that well liked but I don't hold that against the kid besides his dad is doing the best he can raising 3 teens all alone without much help.
