Hey guys thought I would give a link to Lyman's site so you can see the video on their new products. One that has my eye is their rotary tumbler and stainless steel pin setup. www.lymanproducts.com/lyman/main/ Take a look and enjoy.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Good eye, Hacker, and thanks for the link. I've mentioned this in the past, but Lyman does offer a substantial discount to Hunter Ed and 4H instructors. If you check the IHEA website, you can get the terms, but it's certainly worth looking at.

Looks smaller than the Frankford Arsenal unit I have but capacity seems to be the same. Same 5 lbs of included pins, doesn't specify what size pins. If it's like the Frankford they are small enough to lodge 2 side by side in the flash hole. Getting ready to order some larger pins from bullseye reloading to avoid the jams. It does come with a nice sorter to trap the pins. I use a 5 gal paint strainer over a 5 gal bucket with a deep media separator that works pretty good to get most of the pins.
I've been using mine for about a year now with amazing results. Only use the dry tumbler to de-lube rifle brass.

I haven't had any pin lodge problems as of yet, and I have processed nearly 10,000 pieces so far. I do although, like their media separator set up, I wonder if it is sold separately?

As they say . . . timing is everything. I received the Franklin unit for Christmas and just before singing on here I turned the timer on with the first load of brass. I elected to start with some really grubby 45 ACP Range Brass to test things out. I'm using the free sample of cleaner that came with the unit. I have read on other posts here that Leme-Shine and Dawn are the best agents to use. The problem I have found is the only Leme-Shine I find at our local markets is a paste like substance in a plastic packet for dishwashers. Anyone know which of the Leme-Shine products I should be using. Their website show a lot of products but I am not sure what you experts are using. I should know the results of the free sample in a few hours.

Been using the one from walmart. Comes in a 12z shaker bottle. www.walmart.com/ip/Lemi-Shine-Super-Concentrated-Dishwasher-Detergent-Additive-12-oz/15724190or citric acid in the canning supplies section, but it's almost twice the price. It only takes a little, still got 3/4 of the bottle. Started with dawn and it tarnished pretty quick. Have switched to Armorall wash n wax, works about the same and leaves some wax on the cases. Keeps them bright and size a little easier in pistol cases. Also a magnet with a release handle makes things a lot easier. Frankford sells one, I got mine from Grainger Supply or have seen them on Amazon too.

redwrider ~ Thanks for the WalMart tip. I'll buy some there now that I know the specific product. My first try resulted with very impressive results. I've already ordered the magnet separator; doing it without one is a pain. I'll try the Armorall too. Thanks again for the tips.

Snapshot, just a verification that redrider steered you right. You can use that same product if your dishwasher is not getting things as clean as you want. Just a tablespoon is all you need in the D.W.-drop it in the bottom before you close the door. For a tumbling load, just a .45 ACP case full per load in a Thumler Tumbler-sized load. This is a powder not a liquid. I haven't had one problem rotating out the pins with the RCBS separator...even with .762. Have not tried .223 with it yet. Berry's makes it for them so theirs is the same thing but cheaper. One source for $25 is E. Arthur Brown www.eabco.net/Berrys-Rotary-Sifter-and-Media-Separator-for-Case-Tumblers_p_14148.html
