Can anyone tell me who PMC's parent company is? I thought it was Remington but I have been told other wise. I am asking because the wife ordered 100 pcs of 30-06 before we left for SC. Her reason for ordering that instead of the Norma or Lapua I asked her to order was $$$$$$. I mean really the home she wants will be close to 250K just to be built and that doesn't include any of the built ins we want. I have 50 of them prepped and it took a lot to get them prepped. I had to de-burr the flash holes, uniform them, as well as the primer pockets, for new brass the length was all over the place, I had to trim them to 2.479 to get them all even which is .005 shorter than trim to length. I just FL sized them and have them in my tumbler. Hope it wasn't a waste of half a day.

Give me a place to stand and a long-enough lever, and I will invariably break the lever.

Hi Chuck, the stuff is made in South Korea, and the parent company is Poongsan Corporation. (I didn't make that up !) I shot a fair amount of it when I got my first centerfire handgun (9 mm) around 1980. I hadn't started reloading, and the stuff was under $4/box, which in those days brought it in under 2 six packs ! At least I wasn't stupid enough to throw away the brass, and some of the boxes still circulate through some of my third line loads. Your mileage may vary, but my guess is you won't buy it if Lapua is available, and I honestly can't say I've used it for rifle. I've picked up bits here and there (a lot of .32 acp, oddly enough) and have used it. I'll be interested in your results. Good luck on your trip !

I've used tons of it in .308 loads. As you already noted it is not the Cadillac of brass. It's also much cheaper.
With proper brass prep and warm loads the primer pockets started getting loose after 8 loads in my bolt gun. The brass was annealed every three firings, and fl resized each time.
Mine was free, would I buy it? Probably not, as I really like winchester brass. It has been good for me though.

With proper prep I would call it better than plinker brass. I have tried Norma and Laupua brass before and loved the minimal prep work needed.
On the flip side my cheap PMC and LC brass with good case prep, shoots just as accurate as the expensive stuff out of my guns. I enjoy brass prep, it's mindless and keeps me out of the bars.

Spring I enjoy case prep too but longevity is what I look for most in brass that's why I have a fondness for Norma and Lapua that's not to say other brass doesn't give good case life. I have some Fed 7RM that I have cycled through according to the box 12 times I also still have some of my original Win 7-08 brass from years ago going on its 18th cycle this is now plinking brass as the primer pockets have started failing ever round.
