Today I had contact with a local gun store owner who was complaining about the ATK organisation. He does not get new information on products or any dealer support about new items and so on. It seems like he's not the only one, he told me that the dealer site is poorly updated and their last news letter copy dates from fall-2013! Just some insignificant news bulletins on the site, dealers don't care that much about this kind information, they like information to help their customers (people like you and me). I did not know about this site, I received it from the gun store owner: News letter page ATKATK PremiumHomepage ATK dealersHomepage ATK dealersTo obtain any product information they must download it from this site, but some information (depending on the product is not even there or from 2013). Some of the newer 2014 products are not even displayed. Printed versions of their 2014 products are not on hand either. I'm told that some European dealers and gun stores are pretty fustrated about it all, they look now for alternatives. The gun store owner that I know is now shifting from RCBS to Hornady and from CCI to Remington....... that's not good. Looks like they don't just abandoned us at the RCBS HUB but also their dealer support site. PJ

This is not good to hear. I do wander how in the States here how the support is going.

In this morning's mail was a copy of the 2014 Alliant Powder manual-I dropped them an email a couple of weeks back, and they mailed it to my cat (Really. I use his name sometimes when I'm being a wise guy. It's alright, as he is quite a hunter and always wears orange, but I digress.) In any event, I flipped through it at lunch, and there on the inside cover was an ad for the HUB. Obviously, printed before the takeover. Had to chuckle, however.

I'm still waiting for my copy. Maybe in a few days(?) If not I'll send another request.

Asside from work I've been sick,a rather bad sinus infection, so I've not been "around" much but I read that ATK aquired the other Company, can't remember the name, and is now in the process of creating two new entities. One to deal with defense/aero space and one for recreation, hunting, shooting, outdoor stuff. I look for a re-incarnation of the Hub down the road.

BOB, I think that other company was Science Orbital or the other way around Orbital Science. I do remember reading this a few weeks ago can't remember where though. It's bad when my CRS acts up!

Hi Bob, nice to see you in circulation. Hacker, one of the places you may have read it was when Ken was commenting on the effect on his stock holdings back on the HUB. I don't know why I remember that, as I reestablish my identity every morning by looking at the laundry mark of the underwear I'm about to put on...

While their customer support has obviously hit a new low, around these parts the LGS keeps getting shipment after shipment of their products. LGS has a wall full of rock chuckers, kits and a summit press or two. He has been over stocked with primers for the last two months all cci. The last two Fridays he's has even gotten a pallet of handgun powders: power pistol, bullseye and unique. He even had 3 # of reloder 15 that a guy was checking out with as I walked in. Damn it!!! Maybe they are focusing on providing products instead of support. It's been kind of like Christmas around here lately. Prices are even close to pre-sandy hook levels, paid 16.99 for a pound of unique and 70.99 for 4# of power pistol. I was just happy to find it, as I have always liked Alliant powders.
