I think I'd take the Interarms over the Remington 798 as I'm under the impression that it's a true Mauser made action. On the other hand I'd take a classic Model 70,Ruger 77, Remington 700 or Montana Rifle over the others they are made in the U.S.A.

Savage, Well I did a little research on both the Interarms Mark X and the Rem. 798 Both actions are manufactured from the same place. This would be ZASTAVA ARMS in Serbia. This outfit has been making Mauser 98 style actions for quite some time. So if you plan on a build these actions would be a good platform to start with.

Gary, thanks for that information, as I said I thought Interarms was Belgian or German.

The Remington 798 and Interarms Mark X are basically the same. The only real difference is the Remington version had nicer stocks. Unless you find a whitworth Interarms Mark X those where really fancy. I'm having a 6.5-06 A Square built on the Interarms Mark X now. We'll see how it compares to my other k98's and A303
